- What is gold vermeil?
Gild the Lily gold vermeil is 18K gold plated on silver.
- What is 10K gold?
10K gold contains 10 parts gold and 14 parts another metal(s), making it 41.7% gold. 9K gold was used a lot in antique jewellery, particularly around the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
- Where is your jewellery made?
My designs are made in my studio in Hong Kong, and I share the manufacturing work with a small group of artisans. The diamonds I use are sourced from India and the semi-precious stones mainly come from India or Thailand.
- Where do you source your antique and other jewellery?
The antique and other pieces of jewellery available in this store are treasures that I come across at jewellery fairs or on my travels around the world.
- How long will it take to receive new orders?
All pieces from the Candice and Gild the Lily lines are made to order, and will take up to 2 weeks to make. That means that after receiving an order confirmation email, there will be a wait of about 2 weeks before receiving a shipment email. In-stock items (antiques and one-of-a-kinds) will be packaged and shipped as soon as the order is processed. An email will be sent after shipment with tracking details and expected date of arrival. Shipment time is normally 3 days from Hong Kong to the USA.
- How are the items shipped?
This store uses the Speedpost service from Hong Kong Post. It is express international shipping with internet tracking and signature upon delivery. Speedpost international shipping usually takes 3-5 business days. The jewellery will be wrapped up and protected in its own jewellery bag.
- What is the return policy?
As items are made-to-order, this store does not accept returns or exchanges.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
This store gladly accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.
- How secure is this store?
This store uses PayPal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).
- Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.
